Join us for the annual Tweed Ride, a genteel bike tour meandering from Downtown Roanoke to explore Roanoke’s Southeast neighborhoods by road and greenway. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 ride has been developed as a self-guided, virtual tour, with video presentations by members of the Roanoke Valley Preservation Foundation available to be streamed to your mobile device along the route.
The route will be released via Google MyMaps and Ridespot.com on Friday, November 13th.
To keep in the spirit of the Tweed Ride and fine fall riding, we are encouraging participants to dress up in their fanciest tweed and send us a selfie of you along your ride. From Saturday, November 14th through Saturday, November 21st, simply post a photo of yourself decked out in tweed to your Twitter or Instagram.
Make sure to tag us – @ridesolutions on Twitter, @ridesolutionsva on Instagram – and you’ll earn an entry into a drawing held on Monday, November 23rd for one of five (5) RIDE Solutions prize packs. We’ll share some of our favorite photos over the course of the week.
