Details

Meet renowned international artist Rimer Cardillo, whose exhibition Rimer Cardillo … and the deep ecology of a sacred nature is on view through August 25.

You’ll kick off the morning with a cup of coffee, then take your seat in the Taubman Theater to hear directly from the artist himself. Cardillo will take questions following his presentation.

Environmental issues (and how they are affected by real politics and economic factors) are a principle focus of Cardillo’s works.

Cardillo is a Guggenheim Fellowship award winner who represented Uruguay at the 2001 Venice Biennial and has had extensive group and individual exhibitions throughout the Americas as well as in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

Please note that this is a Museum member-exclusive event and is free for current Museum members. Members may register a friend who isn’t a member, however.

Registration is highly encouraged to reserve your seat.
