Join three areas local authors -- Mike Allen, Amanda McGee and R.S. Belcher-- reading from their creepiest works Saturday, October 28 at 1 pm at Book No Further.
The authors
R.S. (Rod) Belcher is a newspaper and magazine editor and journalist. He is the 2022 Webster Award Winner and was the Grand Prize winner of the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Anthology contest. His novels include the Golgotha series (Six-Gun Tarot, Shot Gun Archana, The Queen of Swords, and The Ghost Dance Judgement), His novel adaptation of the film, MiB International was published by Titan Books in 2019. The first book in his Audible Originals space opera series, The Queen's Road, released in December of 2019, and as a book in 2020.
Mike Allen edits and publishes Mythic Delirium Books in Roanoke, Virginia. His short stories have been gathered in four collections: Unseaming; The Spider Tapestries; Aftermath of an Industrial Accident: Stories and the forthcoming Slow Burn. Hi first novel The Black Fire Concerto appeared in 2013. Broken Eye Books will release his second novel, Trail of Shadows in 2024. A two-time finalist for the World Fantasy Award and the Shirley Jackson Award, Mike has also been a Nebula Award nominee for short fiction and a three-time Rhysling Award winner for poetry.
Amanda J McGee, a planner by day and a writer by night, graduated from Hollins University and Virginia Tech. She is the author of the dark epic fantasy series The Creation Saga (Mother of Creation and Daughter of Madness) and received a National Endowment of the Arts and City of Roanoke Art Matters Grant. Her novella “Viridian” was published in the anthology A Sinister Quartet. A Quarter was included in the 2020 Locus Recommended Reading List. McGee's has a forthcoming novella, A River Wide, releases in May from Interstellar Flight Press.
