Each month, Hustle/Haven hosts a themed happy hour with a presentation and discussion. February's theme: Let’s Talk about Sex, Baby. Let’s Talk About You and Me (and the 5 love languages).
Ever wonder why you don’t feel fully loved by your partner despite knowing they love you? Have you ever been accused of not showing love even though you felt like you were going above and beyond? Or perhaps things are pretty good but your communication could be better? Then maybe you’re just not speaking the same love language and that’s okay. Most of us don’t even know our own love language or languages (yes, you can have more than one). Enter “The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts” by Gary Chapman which helps us figure out our love language(s) from words of affirmation to physical touch, gifts, acts of service and quality time. Monique Ingram and Malinda Britt with Roanoke’s Planned Parenthood will lead the discussion and also answer your questions about healthy relationships and sex.
