Roanoke Comedy Fest is thrilled to present The RCF Improv Extravaganza at 5 Points Music Sanctuary. Improv has been featured on the festival lineup every year, but in 2024 it’s getting its very own primetime spot.

One of the most challenging forms of comedy theater, Improv requires artists to create characters, new realities and comic premises on the spot.

This year, we’ve packed the lineup with a dynamic roster of teams specializing in different forms of improv, from the short form style popularized by “Whose Line is it Anyway?” to long-form, a highly theatrical approach pioneered in Chicago and New York.

RCF Dream Team (Various)

All together, the performers on this lineup have thousands of hours of practice and performance experience under their belts, with training from some of the country’s most iconic improv theaters.

Festivities will also include a special stand-up set by Winston Hodges, a comic in residence on this year’s Fest.
