What is Ruck2Restore (R2R)?
The CrossFit community is uniting to support our veterans. Did you know that 22 veterans commit suicide every day? These brave individuals have served our country and protected our freedom, often returning from combat with emotional wounds that many of us cannot fathom. We want to help them fight this new battle!R2R was established to raise awareness of the veteran suicide epidemic and to fundraise for The National Center for Healthy Veterans and Valor Farms. The National Center for Healthy Veterans aims to help veterans heal from the emotional scars of combat. Valor Farms, located in Alta Vista, VA, offers a nine-month residential program to aid veterans in overcoming trauma and transitioning into a lifetime of personal and professional success. The program consists of multiple phases, focusing on resilience, trauma recovery and career preparation.
