In this 2 hour workshop you’ll learn to find the funny in anything. Through different formats of joke writing you’ll learn what works best and what doesn’t. We will tell you about how to break into the local comedy scene and try your jokes out on stage! You’ll Leave this workshop feeling a more confident about comedy as well as yourself.
Michael Mandzak has been performing comedy up and down the east coast for years. He was previously a TA and show runner at The Laughing Skull Lounge in Atlanta Georgia where he not only honed in his own comedy but learned to teach it as well. With his quick wit and extreme patience you will learn how to turn fun in to funny.
Katherine Rouge is the heartbeat of comedy in southwest Virginia, from curating shows to helping with the Comedy Conglomerate at Virginia Tech. Not one joke is told in this town that she doesn’t hear about.
