Our mission is to make Downtown Roanoke the preferred place to work, live and play! These efforts include many ongoing programs and an eye towards ever evolving opportunities to expand upon what makes Downtown Roanoke special.
New - Downtown Roanoke Ambassador Program
Having a clean, safe, and welcoming downtown is the foundation of a great city. Our 8-person Downtown Ambassador team is downtown 6 days a week providing nearly 300 hours of weekly services. Our Ambassador Program builds on existing services and allows us to expand and improve the downtown experience for residents, employees, and visitors.
Downtown Beautification
We work to make downtown attractive and vibrant because we believe that an economically strong, vibrant, clean and safe downtown is essential for the health of the entire Roanoke Valley and its surrounding region. Our Beautification Program makes downtown attractrive and vibrant with planters, hanging baskets and art.
Clean and Safe
Making Downtown Roanoke clean, safe, attractive, and vibrant is a top priority. We're always looking for new opportunites for improvement.
Downtown Events
We organize a large number of events each year. The goal is always to bring people downtown and keep them here to shop, dine, and enjoy themselves.
Economic Development
Our projects, initiatives, and collaborations with stakeholders enchance the Downtown District. We're always aming to maintain a healthy balance of strategic economic growth and improved quality of life.
